Olumo Rock, Abeokuta

Olumo Rock is a living museum and a natural skyscraper. Standing 137 metres high, this ancient outcrop served as a war hideout for the Egba people during inter-tribal conflicts in the 19th century. The climb reveals narrow caves, ancient dwellings, and shrines still used today. You can hike up or take the elevator, and at the summit, enjoy sweeping views of the red rooftops of Abeokuta and the Ogun River.
